What is a batch certificate?
A 'Batch'
A 'batch' is a defined quantity of a product produced by the Manufacturer.
Each batch is uniquely numbered, so it can be identified and traced back to manufacturing.
The 'Batch Number' is required to locate the correct certificate for any batch of electrodes or wire.
A 'Batch Certificate'
A 'Batch Certificate', Commonly referred to as a 'batch cert' is a document issued by the manufacturer, containing the results of testing.
Also known as a Product Conformance Certificate or Inspection Certificate.
These are generally typical results, showing chemistry and mechanical properties.
The document will also list any standards/classifications that the product conforms to.
i.e. AWS, AS/NZS, For example AWS A5.18: ER70S-6
